This Brine Reclaim unit is using a patented procedure that will recover 30 to 40% of the water softener sodium that is normally flushed to the drain and re-direct it back to the softening system for reuse.

Basically a 42 inch diameter water softener tank (30 cubic foot unit)
regenerating one time per day will pay back the reclaim unit in about 9 months and realize a substantial  net savings the first year.

A 30 inch diameter (15 cubic foot unit) with the same daily performance will still give a Return On Investment in 18 months and that is way below most standard 24 to 36 month ROI project approval requirements.

The savings in salt usage and water are significant as well as reduced chlorides to the drain which EPA likes.
