larger systems can be either softeners or filters using a
variety of medias. The type of media, its density, depth and
recommended contact time service flow rate are all factors in
determining tank size related to required flow.
Tanks above 48”
diameter are usually side mounted controls or more commonly
“valve nest packages”. A valve nest is comprised of 5 to 7
individual valves per tank controlled by a stager. The stager
package is capable of operating one tank or a multiple of tanks
by gallon meter or time clock operation. Some items are catalog
sizes others can be configured to your specification.
